Kaia

Kaia is a public blockchain formed by the merger of Klaytn¹ and Finschia², two major blockchain networks backed by Kakao and LINE respectively — the dominant messaging platforms in South Korea and Japan. Kaia aims to become the leading blockchain platform in Asia by combining the strengths of both networks.

카이아는 각각 한국과 일본에서 지배적인 메시징 플랫폼인 카카오와 LINE이 지원하는 두 주요 블록체인 네트워크, 클레이튼과 핀시아의 합병으로 탄생한 퍼블릭 블록체인이다. 카이아는 두 네트워크의 강점을 결합하여 아시아를 선도하는 블록체인 플랫폼이 되는 것을 목표로 한다.

The KAIA token serves as the native currency² of the Kaia blockchain, used for transaction fees, staking, and governance. KLAY and FNSA token holders received KAIA tokens through a migration process following the merger.

KAIA 토큰은 카이아 블록체인의 네이티브 통화로, 트랜잭션 수수료, 스테이킹, 거버넌스에 사용된다. KLAY 및 FNSA 토큰 보유자는 합병 이후 마이그레이션 과정을 통해 KAIA 토큰을 받았다.

Kaia is an EVM-compatible blockchain that uses an optimized version of Istanbul BFT (IBFT)¹ consensus. The network is structured into three layers: Core Cell² Network (CCN) for consensus, Proxy Node Network (PNN) for transaction relay, and Endpoint Node Network (ENN) for user access.

카이아는 최적화된 이스탄불 BFT(IBFT) 합의를 사용하는 EVM 호환 블록체인이다. 네트워크는 합의를 위한 코어 셀 네트워크(CCN), 트랜잭션 중계를 위한 프록시 노드 네트워크(PNN), 사용자 접근을 위한 엔드포인트 노드 네트워크(ENN)의 세 레이어로 구성된다.

Kaia achieves approximately 4,000 TPS with a one-second block time¹ and immediate transaction finality. These performance characteristics make Kaia suitable for mass-market consumer applications that require instant confirmation, such as payments and gaming.

카이아는 1초 블록 시간과 즉각적인 트랜잭션 완결성으로 약 4,000 TPS를 달성한다. 이러한 성능 특성은 결제와 게임 등 즉각적인 확인이 필요한 대규모 소비자 애플리케이션에 카이아를 적합하게 만든다.

The Kaia Governance Council¹ (KGC) consists of major institutions and companies that operate Core Cell nodes and participate in governance decisions. Council members include major Korean and Japanese corporations, providing real-world legitimacy and resources to the network.

Kaia provides a Web3 SDK² and API specifically designed for LINE and Kakao mini-app¹ developers, enabling them to integrate blockchain features — such as NFT ownership, token rewards, and wallet connectivity — directly into existing messaging app interfaces.
